Chromebook Options (touch screen only)

I have my own opinions about choosing the right tool for the job and really asking yourself if the Chromebook is the right tool for the job, I have a blog post where I really went reflective on this whole process. We are a 1:1 chromebook district so believe me I have tested sketchnotes on chromebooks a LOT! If you are going to go Chromebooks because that is what you have access to I would hope it was a touchscreen version, Otherwise I would stick to analog!

Have you played around with Google Jamboard! If you are a google district this is the way to go! It is a part of your google account so students don't have to create an account. It is collaborative like all google products. You get more on the app for iPad which is a bit odd but it works so well. Personal preference is paper or iPad but this will work.

Really easy to get started without signing in. The main tools are a bit limited in the "free" version. This would also be for a more advanced user as it does allow for layers.

This one works well with Chromebooks and has quite a bit of options and tools. This would be for more advanced users, or I would use it after students grasp the idea of sketchnotes. Otherwise as I have used this with students in the past, all the options can be overwhelming. Additionally, the canvas isn't infinite so make sure the students zoom in to take advantage of the space.
