The One About Toast

Picture
So the coolest thing about this little experiment I have made for myself is that I haven't limited it, and since it is summer I can talk about anything I want and it doesn't have to be work or edtech related.

So it has been rattling around in my head all day: what to write, what to write, you have to write today, what's your topic? So I do what any normal, sane, bullet journaler would do- I went to my notebooks. You see I know that this has been something that I have had on my brain for awhile, and I knew that I had pages and pages through my many bullet journals for the last two years devoted to "brain dumping" about blogging. So I went looking for topics, previous ideas, and started another page in my most current bullet journal. At one point I found some blogging sentence starters. And one caught my eye today.
A thought I couldn't get rid of today...
So for my birthday I got two glorious cookbooks.
And I have been making a few recipes over the last week and a half finally. In fact I made one last night, and it had me thinking way into the night. I was on instagram having a conversation with someone who also loves these cookbooks, and I started to spiral down a youtube rabbit hole.

You see I made the Broccoli, Sausage, and Rigatoni recipe. But what was so mind blowing about this recipe was the whipped ricotta.

I mean, what? Look at that!
Now. way back in the day, I had a cooking blog. This isn't going to be a recipe or a review. This is just me getting my feelings out about how I didn't know ricotta could do this. I have always not be a huge fan of ricotta. Boy, I was missing out. Then I started dreaming about Sqirl. And toast. See exhibit A, one of the many videos I watched on Sqirl last night into the week hours of the morning.
Toasted Brioche, Whipped Ricotta, & Fresh Jam To Be Specific!
So, if you are still with me, and I am sure no one is reading this so who cares. Now you know. About a girl making a recipe and then dreaming about whipped ricotta.

Toast with whipped ricotta and jam will be mine in the next few days. I guarantee it.
