Lesson 3: Real Time Sketchnotes In- Practice

If you haven't read the Listening and Comprehension Strategies section of my book refer to that first.

Then come back here and get out a piece of paper and your favorite drawing tools, or if you are digital sketchnoter grab your device and let's do this! Remember make decisions about your position of your paper, get your title down first, and give a little bit of thought to your structure. It's ok to forget about the structure and just let it evolve organically- that is usually what I do when I am sketching live.  Scroll to the video at the bottom of the page.

Watch or listen to this video and try drawing down everything that you think, and hear. This is the live sketchnote version. You will find that you have to draw quickly and really practice your listening comprehension skills. This is similar to what you might experience at a conference, during staff meetings, or any other professional  development.
