In this course you will learn some of the basics of sketchnoting and discuss ways that it can be in the classroom (for both teacher and students). We will discuss how retention with use of images can be increased up to 2X more, and how to build your own sketchnotes.

Course Objectives:

You will learn how to breakdown objects and build your own visual vocabulary. We will learn how to draw simple objects, facial expressions, people, typography, arrows, dividers, and containers. All the pieces needed to create great sketchnotes. This will also help with your own sketchbook skills, anchor charts, and note taking. This will add another tool to your toolbox (both teachers and students). You will also get access to all of my resources and be able to teach this skill to your students.

Course Structure

This course is all virtual, I will be moderating and answering questions and sharing out unique ideas as I see them come up in the course from your BSD colleagues and from other teachers world wide. As with all virtual courses this is best when done in a small group where you can collaborate and work together to get through the materials and assignments.
